Landon's PT visit...

Landon visited Penny, his physical therapist, today. We worked on trying to get him to walk up stairs. He fought with us a little on it, but eventually gave in and started doing it with only a little bit of whining. :) Penny says that Landon is in the 50th percentile for his age in his gross motor skills. Which means he is right on track!!! I was so excited to hear that! Penny and I were reminiscing about six months ago when Braydon and I first brought him in and how he could barely sit up, he wouldn't lay on his tummy without a fight, and he wasn't crawling!! And now look at him! It's amazing how much he has changed in such a small amount of time. Penny tried to discharge us from coming to see her, but I wanted to make sure that he keeps on track, and since insurance covered us for 50 visits why not take advantage of that, right? So we are going to go back in February for a follow-up visit. We are working on kicking a ball, walking up stairs and pushing himself along on a riding toy. Penny will evaluate him again when he sees her in February and then we probably won't be going again. It's bittersweet to think that we won't see her anymore. She has helped Landon in so many ways, but at the same time, it's a sign that Landon is healthy and is moving along on the right track.

I've put up a couple of more recent pictures. The top picture is from Thanksgiving. We gave him a leg from the turkey to see what he would do with it. He mostly pointed at it and wasn't really sure what to do. But it made for some cute pictures. This was the first year that he was able to eat some table food. He enjoyed eating the turkey that PaPa made and jello that our friend Pyper brought over. The next day he became more fond of Nona's mashed potatoes. Just more proof that he is my child! :)

The bottom picture is one of the random ones that I took when he was playing. His nurse, Heidi, and I thought he looked so grown up in this one. It was also a day where he kept his glasses on. Those are few and far between! :)

Well, that's it for now. We have some other stuff going on before the holidays, so I'll keep everyone updated. Keep us in your thoughts!
