Grandpa came!

I was so excited when my dad called me out of the blue and said he was going to come and visit!  We hadn't seen him in about a year and I was missing my dad.  So, he found some time he could get off of work and jumped on a plane.  I was so glad he came to visit.  He helped with a couple of things around the house and we spent a lot of time hanging with the kids and spending time together.  It was so nice to see him.  Here's some pictures from his visit:

Sydney thought it was really fun to bring every ball we had in the house to Grandpa's lap!

"These things sure are stretchy!" - Sydney

Here's the next ball....

A couple more...

And then another one!

"Grandpa, hold these for me.  I'll be right back."  -Sydney

She found another one.

This is her saying "ball".  She actually says, "ba-ow".  I call it her southern drawl. :)

Grandpa and Sydney reading a story...

And then nap time with Landon. ;) hehe

Sydney and Grandpa

Cheesy Landon again. :)

Me and my dad :)

We tried to get a group shot.  It's actually not that bad considering the only real thing wrong with it is that Sydney has her hands in front of her mouth!  That's pretty good for us!  At least everyone is looking! :)

I'm so glad we all got to spend some time with my dad.  We love seeing him!  Love you Dad/Grandpa!!

Landon got a letter!

A couple of weeks ago, Landon was learning about mail carriers in school.  His teacher sent home a note telling the parents that her plan was to have each parent send an address of a family member to school with their child.  This family member would receive a letter from the student, and then send one back to the child at school.  That way they would learn about how the mail system worked.

I sent Landon to school with my mom's address.  He drew a picture for my mom that said his favorite part of school was numbers (of course, right? ;) ).  She sent him a letter back and he received it at school and was so excited about it.  He wanted to keep it and hang it up in his room.  Here's some pictures I took with him and his letter from Nonna.

The cheese face. I can't get him to just smile naturally.  He does this face now every time he sees the camera come out. :)

I was trying to get a picture of him holding it in front of himself, but he didn't understand the concept.  First, he would run away from me and run back.  So, I told him to hold still.

Then, he would put it in front of his face....

Then he ran into the camera being goofy....

Then, there was a cute smile.....

And then poor literal Larry came back.  He kept holding it down by his waist, so I told him to hold it up so I could see it....I shouldn't have said that.

Finally, I just gave up.  It was useless. :)
What a goofy kid.

Sydney's playtime with Hunter

While I went to a dentist appointment, Heidi came over to watch Sydney for me.  Theresa was already at the house with Landon so Heidi got to see him as well.  We've been trying to get together with Heidi since she's left cause we all miss seeing her almost everyday.

While she was at our house, she took some pictures of the kids playing.  She said that they were being super cute playing together and sharing.  Here's a couple of the pics she took:

Cute little Hunter

Apparently they were sharing these balls and kept giving them to each other.  So cute!

It was shocking to me because Sydney still has lots of issues with sharing!  Maybe Hunter was being a good role model. :)

Later, they decided to try sharing the car...it didn't turn out so well.  They had had enough sharing for one day.  :)

Hopping down the bunny trail

Sorry for the blogging delay.  It's been a pretty busy month!  We'll start with Easter.

Here's some pictures from our day...

Sydney checking out her Easter basket.  She went straight for the bracelets...she's such a girly-girl!

Landon's Easter basket

Our little Easter bunny.  We tried to get Landon to do the same picture, but he didn't want to have anything to do with those ears. :)

But he gave me a nice smile instead. :)

We had our friends Shawn and Beth over for a Easter brunch.  We had bunny pancakes (like last year), some yummy fruit salad and an egg and bacon frittata.  It was delicious!  Shawn and Beth's little boy, Mason, has been seen on our blog a couple of times.  Mason is Sydney's BFF. :)

Mason is such a silly boy and tickly too!

He didn't like the ears very much either.  It must be a boy thing. :)

Mason looked so handsome in his polo and khakis

Our cute little bunny again :)

Mom and Sydney

We had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard for the kids.  The kids had a blast picking up eggs.  Landon did so well finding the eggs and putting them in his basket.  He even held his own basket this year, which made pictures even better. :)

I found a couple Mom!

I'm pretty sure he was counting them in his head. ;)

Braydon had fun trying to corral Sydney to pick up eggs.  She was all over the place!  She was even trying to steal other people's eggs!

Mason found some eggs...

And here comes the "egg stealer"

"Thanks Mason!  I'll just take this one and this one..." -Sydney

"Mom, how do I get this egg back together?  There's M&Ms falling out!" -Landon

He did so good, didn't he??

Our little family on Easter.  Beth was nice enough to try and attempt to take a picture of us with two squirmy kids.  This one came out pretty good.  At least we're all looking! :)
